Located on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh's historic Old Town, there is a huge range of experiences to enjoy, very close to the apartment - many of which are highlighted on our map. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants & pubs in the Old Town, from within just 1 minutes walk! To give an idea of distance, it will take approximately 15 minutes to walk up to the castle (if you don't get distracted!) and about 10 minutes to get to Princes Street and Edinburgh's Georgian "New Town" with its wide range of shops, galleries & contemporary bars.

Dunbar's Close Garden, set out in 17th century style, adjoins the property and provides both a beautiful tranquil spot to relax in and also contributes to the fantastic outlook from the kitchen and dining area windows.

By plane - It takes approximately 30 minutes from the airport to the city centre. Obviously there are taxis for door to door service (approx £20). There's also a reasonably priced airport bus service which stops at Waverley Station, very close to the apartment.

By train - Waverley Station is about a 8 minute walk or a 3 minute taxi ride (traffic permitting).

By car - There is on-street metered parking (free Sundays & daily 6.30pm-8.30am) outside the flat. As a car usually won’t be necessary on a daily basis within Edinburgh, we recommend parking outside the controlled zone – just a 4 minute drive away and an incredibly scenic 20 minute walk back (swans, rugged hills, parkland, castle, monuments, palace, Parliament... to mention the highlights!). We will supply directions to our recommended spot.
